Default 2007 Hemi Lifter Problem

Ok in Jan bought a 07 4x4 crew cab Hemi... Had its first oil change at 3000 but right before thatIheard a light tapping in one of the lifters... Well after the oil change its still there. ( note: when I had the oil changed I put in the Mobil 1 7500) so I would not have to change oil as often.... Well needed some other things done, so while it was in the shop I asked them to check out the tapping... It is a lifter, but they are saying this is normal for the Hemi's... They compared it to another one and it was doing the same thing.... Tech supports wants me to wait another couple of thousand miles and if doesn't go away then they will change out the lifters....But at this point they do not think it would help..... Has anyone got this tapping going on??? Any info would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks

search for the "hemi tick" I have it, as do countless other hemi owners. As far as I know it isn't something that needs to be fixed, just noise from valve clearances or something else in the engine.

just accept it and like it...take pride in hearing that infamous hemi tick and let others know u too have a hemi under the hood.....

yah it's pretty much a normal thing, 99% of the trucks you listen to are gonna have a lifter tick...but if they gonna replace lifters, that would be a good time for a new 6.1L cam upgrade
