Anybody with any advice. I have just over 2500 miles on a 2006 reg cab V6 with 6spd 3.55 rear axle.
I am getting 10 MPG at best and feels very underpowered. The dealer did a "flash" and I think it got worse. They said there is nothing they can do. I called Chrysler and they told me, "the vehicle is under warranty and the dealer will take care of it". Again the dealer is refusing any further diagnostics.

 

Sounds like it's time to take it to a different dealer...

 

If it is not too far away
taking it to another (5 Star Rated) Dealership is good advice.

If it is too far away
try calling the regional Chrysler representative from the list below
{which is old and the telephone numbers may have changed in some regions)
and arrange a date where the regional rep will be visiting your dealership
and can listen about the problem and do a test drive with you.
Your four O2 sensors should be your major supsicion.

If your regional telephone number has changed, go to the bottom of the list and call the national number to find the regional number.

To be honest the V6 is underpowered. I have it and its no racing truck. The 6 speed is very bad. At least you have the 3.55's. I have 3.21's so my 4 door feels like a cow. Oh yeah, I get 15mpg tops.

 

damn that's too bad guys. I filled my tank 2 days ago and I got 16.9 miles per gallon. That's pen and paper as well, not the over head computer.

 

I get 14 in town with my quadcab 4.7, 3.92 and its really not fully broken in (about 3K miles). My manual is smooth and problem free.

How to add horse power to a V6 3.7L

 

Is it the initial cost?Cost of insurance? Or what makes people buy a full size truck with a V-6? My truck get 12mpg+ in the city and 16-17mpg on the highway. And thats all with a 4x4, 35x13.50R18 Mud TA's and 4.56 gears... hemi of course. Just think how much your spending in fuel difference... But on a electric fan, CAI, and different muffler and you'll see a noticable increase. However if you have a lead foot, then your S.O.L.

 

You'r V-6 will get better MPG trust me But it takes a long time to break in most of us that aslo made the mistake of getting the 3.7 will tell you the same keep on driving it MPG gets better in time more miles you put on it.

I gotten 23 MPG out of my 2006 Q-Cab but only once driving at 70 MPH no A/C 289 mile HWY round trip. normal MPG 17.9.

Yea Chrysler Lied about MPG Ha Ha, Yes the truck can get good MPG only if every thing around you is just right.
