Default Bouncy Ride with leveling kit

I just installed a 2" Readylift leveling kit on my 04 Ram 1500 4X4. It looks great, but the front has a bounce to it. Not too bad, just very annoying. Will this settle out with time? Or will a set of front shocks take care of this??

Did you replace your shocks? I replaced mine with Bilsteins and it made a big difference.

I had the Readylift leveling keys put on my 05 1500 also. It rode about the same as far as ride quality. The only problem that I had was the loud "thunk" from the shocks when going over a speed bump or driving over a pothole. I emailed Readylift tech support and they advised me not to get longer shocks because it would be bad on the balljoints.
After reading many messeges on the board about the subject, I decided to install stock replacement Bilstein shocks all around. It does seem to ride a little nicer, but the "thunk" is still there. I like the looks better with the leveling kit, but be prepared to drive slower over bumps and potholes afterwards. Or you can get shocks made for earlier model Rams (more travel in them), but that may be very hard on the balljoints.

I have 30,000 miles on my truck since installing the leveling kit and Bilsteins ( early model shocks with longer travel ). So far I haven't had any problems whatsoever with ball joints or anything else. I can't speak for everyone though.
