Default Cruise Control Not Working "Warning long post."

My cruise control stopped working today. The CRUISE light comes on, but when I push SET nothing happens. Also, I'm having problems with my tail brake lights. My wife was behind me today on the interstate and she told me my rear brake lights would come on and stay on for a while, but not my 3rd light.

I checked all my fuses and everything is ok. So, after doing some searching on here I found it could be related to the brake switch on the peddle.

One small problem with that: I replaced that part about 3 months ago do to funny brake problems and the shift-out-of-park interface went bad in it.

Soooooo. What are the odds that I just got a bad switch? I got it from Autozone. It's a Duralast brand.
Is there anything else I should look for? Everything else in the truck is working great. No codes or anything.

It's definately my brakelight switch. I can unplug it , then plug it back in and my cruise will work again.
Damn Autozone garbage . Good thing they're only $12.99.

Sounds like you talked yourself into getting an OEM one already??? Price don't mean jack if it's giving you problems!
