Default Front Driveshaft AWD Ram

Hey guys. I took some pictures of my front driveshaft because I was planning on removing it for the summer. My truck is a 05 ram 1500 5.7. Can anyone tell me if it looks like the drive shaft holds the case fluid in there? If does im just gonna leave it. Also I took the pictures on my phone so there not the greatest.

Anytime you have a yolk entering a housing, there will be a seal there which hold the fluid in! Guys do run them without the driveshaft, but will lose fluid and get dirt inside there as well as moisture.

On the one end, you could remove the u-joint and the yolk part will just stay there which seals it off. Not sure about the other end. i think it is an open style fitting??? Never had one off on a Dodge before.
