Default Road Armor Installed!!

So this is the continuation of my last post on my new bumpers...

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...y-jealous.html

A buddy helped my installed them a little over a week ago. The install went pretty good. The front came off the easiest; the rear was a little more involved. The rear had those metal clips that have bolts through them and they broke. So we had to get the cutting wheel and sawz-all out for a few minutes.

Here's a few pics from the install. The bumper brackets went onto the frame really tight, but nothing a good size mallet couldn't handle. In order to get the front far enough onto the frame so we could get the bolts in the holes I had to drive the truck up against a large John Deere tractor tire. Worked pretty good, lol.

Ok, so before anyone starts giving me advice on how the truck looks, I'm not completely happy with the way it looks.

The list of things I'm going to change goes like this...

Red grill to replace the chrome one. (This is being delivered tomorrow)

Remove the chrome side molding.

Install my pocket flares.

Mods next year:

Replace my stolen tailgate with one that matches the truck.

line-x the rocker panels (red)

6" skyjacker suspension lift.

Install larger tires.

In the mean time I have the stock bumpers going on craigslist if anyone is looking for bumpers.

Yeah I'm still on the fence with the color. So I'll probably do that last.

Nope, Don't like those bumpers at all, sorry I think they look tacky. Although who knows, Might look better when you get the lift on. But hey, Just my humble opinion.

Those will look great with a 6" lift and 35s. Can't wait to see the finished pics.

I'm a big fan of the bumpers, but all in good time. I think they require some other mods to help them look good (mods that should be done first). Without supporting work, i agree they do look tacky. Lookin forward to the finished product...gonna look awesome
