True Dual Exhaust Setup Installed!!!
I just had a True Dual set up installed last week on my truck with no crossover down the passenger side and it sounds great. I ran 2.5 inch pipe of the cats and down into two generic shop chambered exhaust that is identical to the super 44 and out the back into 22 inch length and 4 inch outlet tips. I have checked gas milage at fill up with a calculator and have seen a 1.5-2 mpg increase on highway and 1-1.5 mpg in the city driving it the same way I did before. I can tell when MDS kicks in but it is really not that bad at all, its kind of a Whop, whop, whop, whop sound inside and outside the cab, I'm also very happy because there is no drone at highway speeds and it is not obnoxious at all at 70 mph plus like my old truck was with a cat-back.
So don't be afraid to put in true duals, and i have noticed an increase in pick up and the amount of force that throws you back into your seat when you mash it from a stop. Total cost for a shop to do everything with Tips, mufflers, pipe and bends from them was exactly 600 down here in Florida.

Nice! Now put on an X-pipe and enjoy the balanced tone on the highway. A balance pipe helps with the sound in a big way. Thats why mustangs sound so smooth. Post some pics of the setup. I'm sure someone would like to see them.
You will have a whole new truck, any talk of true dual ex hurting the hemi is crap.
AS for a x or H pipe, not practical, unless you own a 2wd, the left ex manifold pipe is longer than the right to by pass the transfer case.
My only alarm bells, aviod dynomax and managa flow muflers, I have not had any luck with thease muflers, ultra flow dyamax, and the managa flow version of the dyno max.
Don't run one mufler with two inlets and two out lets, run two seperate mufflers, keep pipe to 2.5 in and thier will never ever be any issues with lack of back pressure.
Y pipe is B/S

Do you have any idea what you're talking about? I mean seriously......
Yes, I know what I'm talking abought, thier's no room to run a x pipe or H pipe, flue tank and transfer case take up a lot of room under a 4wd Ram.
My truck woke up with a true dual ex conversion and mpg improved.
For a X or H pipe to work, booth pipes of the EX manifolds have to the same length, this is not the case on a Hemi Ram... IF in doubt crawl under the truck, see 4 your self..

I would think he would be alright with the single DIDO muffler setup instead of the X or y pipe, The equalizing would happen in the muffler and you would still have true duals. In fact I wish Id thought of it, I may go ahead and use that idea.

and add a crossover of some sorts, youll be glad just an H would suffice
