A/C Partially Went Out

A/C Partially Went Out
I got a call from my mom tonight saying that the passenger side AC isn't cold but the driver side is. Both sides blow air but it is only cold on the driver side.
I had an '88 F250 that did the same thing except it blew out of the top vents and not the front vents and I was told that it was just some kind of control switch. Could this be the same thing?

LOL, OK strike that question. I reread your post anyway, my question didn't make much sense, I guess I just need to lay off the beer.
Is your moms vehicle a dual zone climate control?
As far as your 88, Your problem probably was a bad mode door actuator. It was and still is a common problem in Ford Trucks. Could also have been a vacuum leak. the mode door defaults to defrost, so when the actuator goes bad defrost is all you get.

Liquid courage creates liquid delusions as well lol. Its the very basic single zone, I know its not the blower or motor since it is only the passenger side that is not blowing cold. I've done more research as well and everything seems to be pointing to that. I'll probably have someone look at it to make sure that is what it is.

So true. If it is blowing air at all its absolutely not going to be blower. Based on what I have read, Your blend door is working since you get cold on the driverside. However, The air on the passenger side for some reason is not being pulled thru the Evap.
I would check somewhere along the line in the passenger side for an open in the case or a blockage somewhere. Im not sure what model or year your mother has, But in most of the ram's the blower motor is located under the the Instrument panel below the glove box. If you pull it you can get a pretty good view into the case/duct system and look for obvious signs of problems.

There are many different actuators on these Dodge HVAC's.
Here's a link that might help you to identify if it's an actual door or actuator with solutions and parts for a fix.
Hope this helps?
