Default Drop Shackles and O/L removed update! PICS!

Well here are some pics of my truck guys. This is after the overload springs have removed and the drop shackles have been installed for a month. I think they have had plenty of time to settle and the truck has settled about another inch after the initial drop. I LOVE the new look and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't tow or haul very much. I do not necessarily "need" a truck, so it doesn't hurt mine at all to lower it

Ryan,
Your truck looks awesome.
I was under mine the other day and notice a mark from when I was using short shackles. I didn't hear anythig and the the shackles were only on the the truck for six years. LOL. Also look at your old O/L springs and I would bet they have never touched the regular spring pack. Again, sweet looking truck!

Good luck...

OBTW, have you voted in TOTM? Very close contest this month every vote counts...

No! It rides great. Actually feels more stable on the road since the back end is planted a little lower to the ground.

I used McGaughy's. $75 shipped from Moe's and was delivered to my house in 4 days!

My frame has that same mark, but it doesn't bother me at all. It doesn't squeak or rattle anything. You have my vote for TOTM! Your truck looks too much like mine for me not to like it!

I planned on getting the McGaughys from moes, just wondering because I saw moes sold some other ones too but none of them seemed to be capable of dropping the truck as much as the McGuaghys, plus its the cheapiest lol. Great combo in my books.

mcgaughy's offers the closest drop to 2" as none of them are really 2" drop except for slammed1 shackles and good luck finding them ...silverbullet picked a pair used for cheap and he's the only one on df i know running them....my drop shackles sit on my frame also greg and it doesn't hurt anything i dont think....it will settle a lil more i think after about 3months mine had settled a 1/2" more from my measurements of after a month...and i drive alot....i use my truck as a truck i still make depot runs and throw stuff in the back as i dont throw my quads in there as much cause they fit on my trailer and now i have more than 1...i will be hauling a single quad tomorrow in the bed yes it will sag a lil but it wont hurt anything...my o/l leafs never once touched my other springs....btw ryan it looks damn good glad you dropped it ....now you can come join the lower class club....
