Default Ceramic Coated Headers - $239.00

I was on e-bay last night and I wanted to let everyone know about a smoking deal I found. I messaged them as I would like to see if one of the sets would work on my 08.

Just thought I would share as all the Ceramic Coated headers I have been looking at are $500+

2wd headers won't fit 4wd.
5.7L headers won't fit 4.7L
2003 is a lonely year for parts and is why they are so cheap! Although, they should fit 2003-2005's??? not entirely sure on that.

They will not fit 2006-2008 even if you have a 2wd! The secondary pieces are different on the eearlier years. All 2006-2008 Exhausts are compatible regardless what exhaust manufacturers claim.

I looked at all these links and they are for the 2005 ram 1500. Does anyone know anything at all about the GIBSON LOG HEADERS ? I have heard some good things. I dont want JBA because I think your paying for the name, and flowtech I have not heard anything good. Does anyone have an opinion on EDELBROCK shortys ?

Is it possible they made $hitload of them before knowing about EGR valve on the 2004+? Every one of them says 2003 hemi only.

dirtydog, where is the fitment a problem for them? Does this have to do with the tab on the transmission that can be cut off, or something else?

I would like to bump this up and continue the thread. I have an 2004 Ram 1500 4.7 V8 Excuse my lack of knowledge, but to make it simple the leak was in between the black and the "header"? With that said i was also looking into buying some new headers for better flow/performance. Do not want to spend too much but enough to be satisfied.

1) Polish the oem headers, replace the bolts ( Found one missing and one loose)
2) Buy a new set
3) Back to 1) and replace some of the exhaust system.
I am thinking this is also part of my throttle response? Bad back pressure?

Thanks for all the info, 400.00 is what i would like to spend. Cheers!!

I did a cam swap for a guy who owned a 04 4wd and we pulled the exh from the heads. There was zero room to work because the engine mounts were so close to the frame
