Pick up a new Ram 1500 crew cab last week. I just ordered new OEM side steps, part number 82213273 for the truck and I plan on installing them myself.
Is this a straight forward job?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I was looking at installing some as well. Go to You Tube and do a search, you'll get videos of whats involved. Not a bad job at all. At least the ones I looked at.

 

I helped a friend install a set of OEM steps on his 2014. After he got the steps we discovered that he had to purchase separately the mounting clips that go in the holes on the body. The install went smoothly with not issues.
