Hi - just bought a new '10 Ram 1500 5.7 Quad Cab - I want a nicer (meaner deeper tone) exhaust - so from watchiing the videos on youtube I am torn between the Mufflex 14" and Flowmaster super 40. But my questions are has anyone changed out their stock muffler to either of these and comments? Also what size pipes are the stock exhaust - I am assuming 3" in and 2.5" out for the duals ?

I put the magnaflow kit on my 2010 and I love it! Mine had the factory duals so this kit fits the bumper reccess like a glove, also it is a 3" in and 2.5" out with 5" tips welded on. I thought the tips would be too much when I opened it up but once I put the system on I found it looked and fit better than stock. Its quiet at an idle but once you put you're foot into it it has an amazing deep rumble, I highly recommend this kit.

 

I have a single (not dual) exhaust and want to enhance performance but not drive my wife/kid crazy with drone on long trips when towing the boat. Anyone install a muffler system for that? I did a dynomax on my 4.7 HO Dakota that was perfect, but I have heard/seen that when the MDS kicks in that the sound is grating - even though it sounds find w/8 CYC's pumping. Thanks!

 

I have the Magnaflo 24" with side exit and the sound is perfect.
