Talking Want a Ram..sooo bad. Need advice.

I thought it may be possible to find an '09 with some miles on it that would make it cheaper. I was thinking it would be worth sacrificing some options to get a newer 4th Gen instead of a 3rd with a Hemi, etc.

If you have had both generations, how do you think they compare in relation to ride quality after driving them for a while? What would you do given my situation?

Thanks for the help guys! If you can direct me to any Rams that are for sale that I may be interested in, I would greatly appreciate it too.

Default 4th gen

Ok i have owned all gens 1-4 the 3rd gen was a 2004 quad cab hemi bighorn edition w/20s & 3.92 gears, It was a great truck it had 110,000 miles and never made 1 trip to the dealer. When i got rid of it the a/c doors had broke that was its only real problem and i paid 30,000 out the door for it 6 years ago. Now my new truck is a 2010 crew cab sport w/3.55 gears and i only paid 27,490 out the door with the extended warranty on it. Pretty good deal in my book more truck less money. as far as comparing the two Night and day difference the 2010 will spoil you it is like driving a car its so smooth and quiet! and the interior on the sport model is soooo nice compared to the 3rd gen. and power rear sliding window, sirius radio built in, the evic system in the dash is cool also lets you know whats going on with the truck, dual exhaust, fog lights, 110v power outlet on the dash, the list just go's on and on the 2010 as for now is a great truck we will see how it holds up but if its anything like my 2004 iy will be a great truck. But with more cool toys! and the looks of the 2010 is awesome!

Thanks for chiming in. I've actually narrowed it down to a 2010 Big Horn, Hemi, 4x4 for $28,500. It looks like tomorrow will be the day. It is mineral gray if I remember the name correctly. I actually am buying it from the dealer back in KY. Here in Saint Pete, the best they can do is $32K for the same truck without 4 wheel drive. So that doesn't look good. But I'll find out tomorrow either way.

After going for a test drive in an '08 and then the '10. It was a no-brainer. For $5K more with 0% financing? It is hard not to go that route. You save about $2000 on the interest. So that helps make the price more manageable.
