Default RAM Air Hood (Need your opinion)

Ok, I'm looking at getting my RAM Air Hood in November, and I need your help and/or opinion about the two hoods I'm looking at. One is a Mopar hood, and the other is a AMP hood. Both look very similar. The Mopar is full sheet metal, as opposed to the APM which is fiberglass. I'm leaning toward the Mopar, primarily for that reason, it's metal, but haven't made up my mind yet. What is you take on this? Which would you pick and why?

Also, if I get the Mopar one, will I need the optional RAM Air Duct, or is this already built into the RAM air hood? Below are some links to each, and dealership prices for the Mopar stuff, and Autoanything price for APM stuff. Plus, you can add an additional $500 for paint and install on each.

Mopar Hood & Intake (dealership prices): Hood = $744 (+tax), Mopar Cold Air Intake = $371 (+tax) = $1207 (+$330 if I need RAM air duct)
http://www.autotrucktoys.com/ram/Mop...-PRD25555.aspx

APM Hood & AFE Intake (autoanything prices): Hood = $957 (no tax), AFE Intake (no tax) = $235 = $1192

Thanks in advance for your advice and help.

This may be the easiest post to answer this year. Link 2. Link 1 would look horrible on your truck, given it will not fit. Check out my sig for a while.

Why won't it fit? Mopar catalog at the dealership said that part #82208702 (which is the same part number on that website) would replace my hood for 2009 RAM 1500. Now I agree with you that the picture provided on the website looks like a 3rd gen Ram however. Also, I know that the people working the parts counter at the dealerships aren't always the brightest folks... if this particular hood will not fit, does Mopar make a hood for 2009 Rams?
I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just trying to get the facts right. Believe me I'm not always inclined to believe what I hear from the dealer or after market people as well... thus my post.

Have you checked out the challenger hood for the ram? I've seen it on a few trucks and looks sweet. Just an idea.

How is the fitment? One thing the 4th Gen has going for it are the gaps. The lines/gaps are major improvements over the 3rd Gen. Looking at your hood it appers (could be an optical illusion) that the front corner does not meet the fender and light as well as further back?

I had a bad experience with a suncoast creations hood in the past and said never again, only mopar stuff.

Yes! I have a hemi. If the air box on the 4.7 is the same as the hemi, i can't see why it would't work.
