Pretty nice looking truck, how does the power feel compared to the ram? I had an F150 and the 5.4 was a great tow motor, not much for off the line power.

well, it does have 35 inch mud tires on it, it pulls nothing like the dodge but for being such a big truck im happy with it

soo.. you got rid of your new ram for an older gen ford?

i had a 2005 f150 5.4 crew cab before my ram and it was night and day the difference when i sat in the ram. the power, interior and ride were 10000% better

you musta got that ford for a steal... i couldnt guess as to why other you would make that swap for a truck with 75,000 miles on it... or the lower payments

my old ford btw

I'll mostly agree. Mine was a 2002 XLT. Ride and interior are definitly nicer in the Ram, but the peak torque from the 5.4L was flat and in a much more usable RPM range than the Hemi.

I cut a year and about $30 a month off my payments and i loved my dodge but with the type of business im in its just not a reasonable truck to have. I an in construction and when i go out to a sloppy job site, id rather drive up to it rather than walk with my fake leg through mud. Inside is nice actually... compared to my ST

I used to be a Furd guy. I've had a couple full size 4x4s, one an F150 the other a Powerjoke. The F150 had a piston crack and drop while I was trailering my bass boat home from a tourney with all of 14k miles on the truck. The battle with the dealer and Furd over the warranty repair of that truck is why I will NEVER own another Furd.

Watch them plugs in that Furd if it's got the 5.4! Very widespread problem with the plugs actually stripping out the soft aluminum threads in the head and hitting the hood like popcorn. Seriously.

Check them and torque them to spec often as Furd is NOT honoring it as power train, so once out of the bumper-to-bumper owners are having to foot a very hefty bill to have the issue fixed.

One of the more widespread issues on the Furd forums, it's kinda like the LSDs in the Dodge, a LOT of talk about a class action, petitions circulate all over the 'net, but I ain't seen anything "concrete" done about it yet...

ah... the dreaded spark plug issue in the 5.4

yes.. ive heard of dealers breaking them off during a replacement and the having to take the whole head off and charging the customer over it.

id do a lot of research on it before you tried to install a fresh set yourself.
