I'm curious how many people actually got a dodge ram with a v6. The numbers must be low!! I have never seen anything other than 5.7's and cummins in a 3g/4g around here. Not even a 4.7

You would be amazed. I see many 4.7's running around here, and when I see an SLT with no motor badges and steel wheels, I'm almost guaranteed that it's a V6. That 3.7 is a popular choice for fleet vehicles that wont be towing or hauling much.

LOL That might be because the Jet "chip" is nothing more than a glorified resistor wrapped in a pretty plastic box.

I see mostly 4.7s around here. I've been on this forum 2 years and have seen 2 or 3 3.7 4gens. Just one that was a qc

I've got one....but if I had it to do over again.....No way.

Nice truck, smooth driving, no issues...... other than I get the same crappy fuel mileage as a friggin Hemi! My 1991 Silverado with a 350 V8 got 17MPG!

yea, I read the window sticker, but I got such a great deal on it compared to the 4.7L that was next to it, that I couldn't refuse.

Still....wish I had just ponied up a little more cash for one with a 4.7L at least.

Oh well...still love the truck.

Got a 09 1500 3.7. Really happy with the truck, it does what i need it to do. Gets me and my crap where i need to go, and looks good doing it. Don't do any towing or hauling much. Like Michael, i got a smokin deal on it, when i traded my jeep in. Now that said, if I was raking in more doe, i would have gotten a qc hemi. Hell, if money wasn't an issue I would have gotten an srt challenger.

I have the Jet stage II chip in mine, the only difference i can tell is on the highway regarding shift points, doesn't search gears as much as it did before.
