Post Lift Laws You Need To Know...

Found this pretty informative series of articles on Petersen's 4 Wheel & Off Road.

I was amazed a couple of years ago when a buddy of mine was given a ticket in Georgia for his tires extending outside his wheel wells. In south Georgia, 80% of peoples truck tires extend outside their wheel wells.

In my buddy's case, his girlfriend at the time just happened to be the ex-wife of the officer who issued the ticket (talk about coincidence, LOL).

Even though the cop was in the right, technically, my buddy fought it in court. Judge threw it out.

My research online showed a plethora of vehicle laws that I'd be in violation of myself, most of which, I've never seen enforced...

I live in Tennessee and work in the motorcycle industry. I can think of at least 4 brand new motorcycles from major OEMs' that do not meet TN state code on multiple issues.

They meet DOT Federal, but not state. It's never enforced though.
