3.92 discontinued April 4th

Do you mean that 3.92 is totally discontinued as an option, or the LSD is discontinued with 3.92 gears? Thanks.

My guess is that the discontinuance has to do with the recent RRT/Recall on the rear end.

 

It's about EPA mpg ratings!

 

i dont know my brother in law just ordered a quadcab bighorn w/3.92 antispin a few hours ago

 

if it is true than they just lowered their max towing by 1500lbs which isn't gonna sit good with a lot of people. 3.55 ls should have been available from the beginning with 3.92 ls an option.

Hopefully this isn't the end of the 3.92 completely. Perhaps with the problems it's just a lull till they find a new source. People who tow a lot won't be happy with this, but then again maybe it's designed to nudge the towing folks up into the HD range.

While a 3.55 with LSD is a fine rear end, the difference between the pull of it and a 3.92 or 4.10 is completely insane. After having 4.10 in my truck, there's no way I could go back down to a 3.55 or 3.21.
