Ebay, wheel skins 20'' rims.
I ordered them last week. shipping was very fast, I got them within 5 business dyas.
here is my question: I have ordered from Ebay a few times in the past, a couple of wich I paid some duty and some taxes and I am fine with that. but this time something does not seem right.
the seller was charging 40$ for shipping to canada, and when it got to me I was being billed 70$ for brokers fee, granted those fee,s included some duty and taxes but 50$ of it was broker's fee's.
what's the point in paying 40$ shipping if I am paying the delivery compagnie an other 50$?
can anyone explained to me how this works exactly...

I bet they were shipped UPS ground. If so this is normal and has nothing to do with the seller. This is a charge United Parcel Service charges for the handling of the package across the border. They are a bunch of bank robbers. I only use USPS or UPS air, with these two services there is a very little to no brokerage fee and all you would have to pay is taxes as most things coming to Canada are duty free from the states.
