If you're referring to me you are correct. I just got off the phone with my dealer and the Hemi Ram Sport I ordered on March 12th that MSRP for 45,500 and I paid 36,200 has been built and is waiting to have the spay in liner done before it is shipped. He said that it could arrive as early as 2 weeks from now.

As for anyone commenting in these forums it's can be a form of "free speech". Perhaps you should go back to Government 101 and retake the class.

My 09 has 93,000 miles ... Great truck .... 1st dodge to own. I have had bad chevy's and ford's .... Half of all peoblems arew how the dealer treats you!!!!

I have owned new trucks for about the last 30 years, they all had some minor issues at some point. My '09 RAM has 21,000 miles without a single problem. All brands get lemons depending on where they were built and the crew that put them together. My trucks have been made/assembled in Mexico, Canada and the US. I'm not sure any of that made a difference. If you like the RAM go for it, I am extremely happy with mine and the ride is great. My biggest dislike is the "helicopter noise" when driving with the read windows open in the crew cab

I need the 3.92 as I occasionally tow a large horse trailer and an equipment trailer that loaded weighs around 9k lbs. My Nissan tows it without any problem at all other than fuel economy.

My only concern with the Dodge is the Coil springs. I've read that with a load the truck tends to sway alot and sags more than the traditional leaf springs. I would agree that it rides the best of all of the trucks I've test drove. I feel that Dodge gives you more for the money. The only deciding factor may be that I get supplier price from GM which can be a 1 - 2K savings.

What I noticed about the sticker is that the Hemi is basically listed 3 times. Its listed as standard, then its listed as part of the 26Z preferred package, and then again by itself. So it appears that they are charging 3 times for it. It just looks a little odd to me.

All trucks do that if you have the rear windows down and the front windows closed. My RAM does it, my buddies F-150 does it, mothers expedition does it and my fathers X5 does it.

That helicopter noise you hear can be known as the Bernoulli principle. A car at speed will cause an air stream... That air stream creates a low pressure where it will draw the air from inside the car to the outside air stream. As more air is being drawn out, at some point the air pressure inside the car actually becomes lower than the outside air pressure and a rush of air enters the car....that's what causes it.

As for swaying while towing, that is generally because people that have trailers don’t have them loaded correctly and / or they do not have an equalizer hitch that is set up properly. I tow to the race track over 26 weekends a year and I see some trailers that are improperly rigged with equalizers that are set incorrectly. My new Ram Sport will be replacing my 04 Hemi Durango that has 3.92 and is rated for 8,950 towing. It too has rear coil springs that offer a much smoother ride than a leaf spring. I pull a 7,500 lb 24’ Enclosed Car trailer with 800 lbs of tongue weight and it does not sway or do anything wrong when behind or next to semis. Even in some cross winds it is a very stable. Because the equalizer is set up properly it is a dream to drive and it does not bounce or sway. It weighs 500 lbs less than the new CC Ram and the wheel base is 20” shorter. I’m expecting the new Ram to be every bit as stout while towing with the same rear coil suspension and great Hemi power.

The equipment trailer I have is a pintle hook so no equalizers available. The Horse trailer has alot of tongue weight so I do use the drawtight trunion style equalizer.

I always make sure the equipment trailer is loaded so there isn't to little or too much tongue weight. Never had a problem but I thought with coil springs I might need to be more careful.

Try it as is, and at worst you might need to add a set of Airlift bags in the rear coils that'll fix anything that is excessive. A cheep fix and installs in an hour.

PS-I have a ton of experience with cars and feel my opinion is justified and valuable. My wife is in a regional position in the auto industry and has worked for a few different manufacturers. With that we have had at least 20 brand new cars over the past few years from german to korean and I can tell you that without a doubt this ram drives amazing and i have had zero issues with it. i cant say that for some of the german stuff.....
