Question 4.7 owners, which exhaust?

What mufflers are you guys with the 4.7 liter running? I am looking at a flowmaster 40, but am unsure what they sound like on dodges!

Check youtube. I just did some searches and I found a few videos of the 4th GEN with the 4.7L w/ aftermarket exhaust. There were a bunch of 3rd GEN Rams w/ exhaust a little research on there and I'm sure you'll find what your looking for. Good luck choosing your exhaust for your RAM.

I tried a 40 series Flowmaster on mine and returned it for a 14 inch (12 or 14) Magnaflow. The flowmaster was crazy loud. I also have the 4 inch Mopar tip which does make it a little louder.
The Flowmaster droned like crazy on the highway. My Magnaflow drones too, just not as bad. It sounds great on startup and screams when you gun it.

Martinez, I am getting ready to buy a magnaflow muffler for my truck (HEMI) it seems after doing some looking around on the site a lot of guys seem to be running the 18" magnaflow and they say there is very little highway drone.

the flowmaster 40 is definitely loud, I would never throw it on a truck. magnaflow's are a little more mellow. then muffler length will determine its loudness. shorter=louder. glasspipes are stupid loud, they make tons of noise even if the truck isnt hauling @ss.

I had a Cherry Bomb Pro on my 08 Dakota 4.7 and loved it. I got tons of compliments on how it sounded. It pops a bit in the videos below, but that went away once the exhaust warmed up. It also mellowed out a little after I changed over to a mandrel bent tailpipe.
