Impact of Lift Kits on Towing

Impact of Lift Kits on Towing
I am considering a 4" lift but am concerned that this will affect the towing of tow my boat. The boat and trailer weigh a total of 3700lbs so even though this does not seem a lot compared to what some of you are towing, I dont want the truck to squat. Is there any way i can install the lift and keep the factory 1" rake. As it is today, the truck sits level when I tow my boat and I would like it to be level after the lift kit also.
Would you advise against installing the lift kit?

Little tougher with a coil over rear end. With a leaf rear you could have just bought add-a-leafs for the rear, given better towing handling and about the 1" extra lift to keep the rake OR gone with 1" larger blocks in the rear.
About the only thing I can think of off hand is going with a body lift which will lift the whole truck a uniform 3" body lift.
Of course, you could do the 4" suspension lift and just bag the back. Won't have the rake, but won't squat when towing either.
As far as capacity goes, you will decrease it slightly with the lift and a bit more with larger tires (if you go that route), but not significantly enough to not be able to tow a load that small...
