Now only if they went back up when it started to rain, that'd be sweet...

They have them go down when you unlock it, they should rig it to go up when you lock it.

They won't do that for liability reasons.

It's difficult to come up with a sinereo where some can get hurt with opening a window.

I can see the lawyers just wringing their hands in anticipation of the lawsuits when inevitably someone carelessly closes the window on their child who they don't realize has one of their appendage out the window.

you should know your auto up windows have a pressure sensor. if a force as strong as a finger pushes on the window while going up, it goes back down.

And if that sensor fails which inevitably sooner or later all sensors do?

Is it a component that is subjected to frequent testing to determine if it works?

And when it inevitably fails, somehow, somewhere, someone will get seriously hurt or worse because this sensor failed.

Dodge is not going to install an option that will inevitably subject them to a nasty law suit especially in today's litigious society.
It is not an option that most people are even aware of, let alone have any bearing on a purchasing decision.

Remember, we live in a society where someone successfully suited a major food chain because they spilled the coffee they just purchased from the food chain on their lap.

If the lawyers are OK with the 'auto up' window situation then there is no other logical argument against the 'up with remote' situation. What you describe applies in either case and doesn't seem to be a showstopper. The lack of the feature is likely because they feel not enough people would find the feature valuable so they don't add it.

This happened to me for the second time now, coming out to find my windows down. Glad I'm not crazy, but bad feature though for when I accidentally hit the button in my pocket. Is there a way to turn it off?

True. And regarding auto-up, my mom's lincoln mks puts them down and up with the key fob, sun roof too. So the legal issue should not be that big of a deal. Either way, thanks to this thread I learned something new. Thanks.
