LED bulb replacement
I just installed LED bulbs in my tail lights and checked to make sure they worked. They work all well and fine, but they're drawing a tail light/turn signal code on the evic. Is that because the LEDs don't draw the same ampage as a regular bulb? Is there a way to remove the message or do I have to buy those load resistors?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you replace the bulb w/ something compatible from the original bulb number (3157)? Just make sure they are compatible use sylvania's bulb replacement guide
Have you put one LED and left a halogen in the other to see if it throws the code, then do the opposite to the other side, does it throw the code on both lights?
Check out this site, I use there HID's and they are flawless so far, I've red good reviews on there LED's (they are not cheap but people tend to like them..like we've always heard you pay for what you get). I bought LED's from elsewhere and be tossing them in the DUMP real soon and plan on ordering from Retro due to the flickering... just my

I got the LEDs in the same size bulb as what was there 3157 and 921 for the backup lights. I left the passenger side in as i checked the driver side i got a code on the driver side, but they do work. When i put the passenger bulb in same thing. I turned the truck off and turned it back on the code was MIA but reappeared when I turned my hazards on to check both lamps. I think its the lower amp draw because its not like they aren't working.
to be completely honest with you, I took my auto electric class, yearrrrssss ago. so I dont remember any of it. I just know i put leds in my 3rd gen and blew fuses back to back to back, and finally took em out. had a guy tell me to add resistors to it. the same way you get rid of leds flickering like on light bars if you ever have that problem

Lol.. Im in the same boat... I don't remember much of my electric class either... I know the basics, i had hard enough time wiring up my HID's lol. Me + electricity = PFM..
To the OP... if your still having issues, i believe recon brand has LEDs with built in resistors or it comes with them...

Sorry about the double post I'm on my phone but the place that sells resistors wants 10 a pop. So I'm just gonna let em throw the code till I order my HIDs and interior bulbs. The only thing that bothers me is the faster clicking in the cab telling me my turn signals are out lol
