3.55's come with LSD too, as an option starting in 2011. you'll lose acceleration with the taller gears and theoretically gain better highway fuel economy. i have the 3.55's and they're more than adequate. my truck has no problem getting up and moving. my fuel economy is as ****ty as everyone else.

I have owned a few Ram's with the 3.55 and they were fine, but only had a single leg. I am not aware about the prior post that mentioned the 3.55 LSD is now an option. The other Ram's I owned had the 3.92 LSD and were good to. I do not think there is really any disadvantage. The 3.55's I had went through the snow good w/FWD. My present Ram has 3.92's and goes through snow just the same. I quess the only benefit is you tach less on the hwy. w/3.55 ratio

I went from 3.55 gears to 3.92 in my truck and only lost about 1 mpg. I can still hit 17-18 mpg highway with it on road trips and it pulls my 7x14 enclosed trailer so much better now than it did before I swapped gears.

I went from the 3.55 to 4.10 & and LSD. Night and day difference in the acceleration, but I only lost about 1, maybe 2 MPG. Like Porter mentioned, the MPG is still just as crappy as before.
