Windshield TSB I recall? Wind crackling noise at speeds
I thought I remember there being a TSB for windshield seal, prmarily passenger lower side. A metal clip that can rub on window? My 2010 is having a Rice Cripy kind of crackling popping sound at speeds that seems windshield seal related.
Good. That way I wont have to argue with them about it. Or have them they say they didnt hear it after having left it with them all day (its intermittent and only at speeds when cold).
I've not had any crackling sounds, but I have noticed an occasional howl around 500~600 hz at highway speeds going into a moderate headwind. (2010 Crew Cab, 4.7L)
The first time I heard it my wife was along for the ride and we were listening to a Shania Twain CD. At first I thought my wife was singing along but off-key and monotone.
I re-torqued the Cab-to-frame mounting bolts today in the course of installing a set of Westin (Platinum Oval) nerf bars so I'll be curious (and will post) if there's any change in wind noise.
