Plasti-dipped my grille, installed my new steering wheel badge, installed new black headlights w/clear signal lenses, changed my steering wheel badge, and put in new lighting (Silverstar Ultras, and cool white interior LEDs). Now waiting on some LED signal bulbs, and I think I'll see if my local carquest carries the Plasti-Dip "Glossifier" which I might use in combination with regular plasti-dip to do my interior trim.

Mounted up my old Sirius Starmate 4 Satellite Radio. Hooked up to the stock antenna and managed to hide the majority of the wires when it's in use.

how do you like the silverstar ultra`s, do you think they made that much difference...? Did you do both hi & low beam bulbs...?
I`ve never had any luck with making the silverstar bulbs last that long, so i stopped buying them.

I modded some H9 65watt bulbs for my low beams....BAMMMMMM, now i can see at night...heheheheeee. 80watt hi-beams.
For my factory foglight`s, i modded some 55watt bulbs for those....HUGE difference.

As for the trim in my truck, totally blacked out all the silver trim... much better now.
The silver paint on the trim came off real easy with alcohol, trim was black underneath it, so i didnt even have to paint it.
When i ordered my truck new, i special ordered it with the sport "black-out" interior, so whatever silver trim was left, HAD to go.

Have you thought about plasti-dipping that tan horn cover on the steeringwheel...??? The MOPAR horn piece would pop better in my opinion if the tan color was gone. Other than that bro, nice mods...like it alot...!!! I have the QC sport truck in brilliant black pearl. Wish i had your hood though.

 

Thanks! I like the Silverstars a lot. To me their worth it because HIDs look like a major pain to install and I would have to get projectors retrofitted into my headlights which is expensive, and because they are much brighter than stock bulbs. I usually get about 2 years it seems out of a set of Silverstars. The way I figure it is in 4-5 years I'll trade my truck on another new one. That means 2-3 sets of Silverstars at the the most at about $40 a set. I won't even have as much in the Silverstars as I would have in a good set of hids alone and I don't have to dink around with the wiring. Oh and I've actually got the dual headlights not the quads so I the H13 Silverstar Ultras function as my high and low beams.

I hate the tan steering wheel. My next truck will have a solid color interior instead of the two tone tan/charcoal one. I have thought about plasti dipping it but I'm not even sure how you remove the thing to do it. I would love to just buy a whole new airbag with a charcoal cover around it but I'm sure that would cost more than it's worth.
