I have a 2009 Dodge Ram Laramie with the REN radio and U-Connect. The radio software is up to date from the last trip to the dealer. They updated the software to the latest version. Here recently, the radio started cutting off and will turn back on on its own. I traced the fuse underhood, it is a 15 amp fuse if I remember right. Could a fuse get hot and interupt power? I always thought when a fuse is bad it either works or it doesnt. Can anyone chime in if they had similar problems and what was the fix. Very puzzled and I hate to take this in to the dealer when it is probably an easy fix.

 

Is your truck still under warranty? If so bring it to the dealer. Also pop tge radio out and take a look at the wiring harness for any chafing... Could be shorting out? Takes five minutes to pop the radio out..
