Tsb does not surprise me. That is why I stopped after two Fords. Long story behind it.

This is a meaningless metric... Ford and Chevy have so many recalls because they are older, have broader product ranges and make way more vehicles. If the number of recalls was an indicator of quality we would all be touting the vaunted build quality of the Yugo.

It is also important to note that most recalls are voluntary and minor. Nowadays many of them are just to update software... which is a good thing: it shows that the company cares enough about existing customers to continue to improve the vehicle that you are already driving, even though they are not getting another dime for doing so.

Honestly I wish Ram would put out a recall for the front end vibration in 4x4 mode.

I thought the only time that happened was when you over extended the CV's by installing lift pucks

I totally disagree. Recalls are a measure of a company's committment to a well engineered, assembled and tested vehicle. Quality is defined in a number of ways. Recalls are only one measure of quality and are not totally defined by it. Nor should a manufacturer be excused because they make more models than another.

The fact that recalls may in some cases be voluntary is totally irrelevant. Whether the government mandates a recall or the manufacturer agrees on its own to fix something is evidence that something needed to be addressed for safety reasons or the long term the benefit of the consumer. It represents something that should have been done right the first time. I'm thinking that those who were injured or potentially injured from fires in Ford cars because of faulty electrical components, or from windshield washer fluid heaters in GM cars, or from prematurely rusting suspension components in Jeep Liberty's, might have a different perception of quality.

It is far from metric. Last month on MSNAuto.com, they had the top 10 recalls of all time. The F-150 was listed three times, there was not one MOPAR brand listed, or a Ram for that matter. Check it out. I was going to post it but I did not want to listen to the F-150 owners whine and cry as usual.

You don't understand. The rules only apply one way!

I thought that too, but this 2012 will do it slightly at stock height, my 2010 didnt vibrate at all. I dont use 4wd often so it doesnt bother me, but it is there.

Of course it could be something else causing it on mine, not the CV angle.

Useless info . I thought, wow, that's a lot for some of them. Then I notice Plymouth is on the list. So I click. I notice a recall for the B100!

What the hell! I guess this list goes all the way back to the dawn of the automobile.

Click on the Challenger, 3 recalls in 10, 5 recalls in 1970. That's not that bad.

Of course the numbers look bad. How many different models do the big 3 sell? Then look back over 30-40 years.
