Tinted tails + 3rd brake light
Got bored on a weekend decided to tint my tailights and 3rd brake light. used vht nightshade 3 coats and duplicolor clear coat 3 coat. regular masking tape around clear sections of the lens.

3M grey scuff pad
Those tail lights look really good i think i like them better than mine. I I'm guessing that they where sprayed on the inside of the lens?
I had mine done at a tint shop just a tint over the lens from the out side even tinting the reverse light.

No i sprayed them on the outside i think the biggest difference is that 99% of people that spray there tail lights do not use clear coat. And it leaves the lights always matte and dirty looking. If they put like window tint on your tail lights cant you cut out your reverse light?
I'm not super experienced with window tint ie. how sticky it is and what kind of residue would be left behind. but its an idea.

ON the discussion about the taillight tint, On most cars we use static cling window tint on the taillights because they stretch. Then use a heat gun to "melt" or "shring" the edges around the back of the light, and it won't lift and looks permanent. The nice thing here is that its cheap, it looks great, you can't mess it up, and if you don't like it you can remove it!
