Default Thoughts on a 4.7L programmer...

Hey guys,
Thinking about getting a programmer for my 2010 ram 1500 4.7L. Anyone have any thoughts on which brand I should get? Please tell me about your experience with them (mpg gains, hp gains, etc.) Thanks guys.

You bought a Ram with the 4.7 so you were not concerned with performance and the trucks are not all that good on gas. A magnaflow catback system would give it a good rumble though.

My input would be buy a nice sound system, tires and rims and just enjoy driving that truck !

Go with the Superchips programmer. To make a 4.7 really run, you`ll have to do some major exhaust mods, and by then you`ve gotten about all you`re gonna get out that 4.7 without doing a major cam package and some serious head & intake work.

Superchips. I think they have advanced transmission tuning available for the 4.7L in your year?? Best bang for the buck right there!!! $40 option and will change the way your truck drives completely. Beats any exhaust and CAI mod. Stock trans is a total slushbox with ridiculously delayed, drawn out and softened shifts. Torque management is up at 80% during shifts just to give you an idea how much power they take away when you shift at WOT! 80%=only 20%engine power while shifting

Thanks guys for the replies. I know that I won't get a huge gain in anything but I figured every little bit would help.
