Default 6.4 Hemi in a Ram?

Hey guys, I'm crawling over from my truck's forum to talk about the new 4th gens. My dad has a 2010 Ram 2500 with a 5.7. Now, I'm not talking about doing this, I just though it would be a neat discussion topic. Has Ram tossed this idea around at all? I honestly think a 6.4 Hemi would be AMAZING in these trucks.

Now, don't get me wrong. It's a 2500 with a Hemi, but if you step on that throttle, you will be thrown back in your seat. Not to mention, the gas gauge feels the G-forces too... But don't you guys think they should consider adding a 6.4 as an option on the Ram R/T's and the 2500's?

I'd just like to know what you guys think

IMHO I'd rather see them do a few little changes on the bottom end and add a supercharger as an option.

I have more power than that stuff in my SRT. Only thing that let go was the clutch. Of course it has a Dana 60 in the rear, beefier drive shaft. If Dodge was to make another SRT I am sure they would so something similar.

Next year the 2500s are supposed to get the 6.4. And I'm planning on getting one.

They will most likely release an SRT version as well. It's been long overdue.

I see a new truck in my future too!! That is sick if they will have them. And in my opinion, I honestly think superchargers coming stock on NON-SRT trucks just doesn't seem like an interest of the manufactures. Not saying some cases they might be good, but I don't see a stock truck having a super charger any time soon without some new design as ford's turbo ecoboost.

Not exactly a new idea - Ford was doing it for years on the lightnings and Harley edition F150's.
