since dad's is a 2011 never sold, the 1 year subscrip is already up. WTF??

Just gave the sirius rep a nice earfull, said she has to call the dealer and do all this BS before the 1 year everything free can be initiated. Again, WTF??

I have XM in my '11 and Sirius in the Ram and in both instances the subscription starts with the sale of the vehicle and is initiated by the dealership when sold so giving the Sirius rep an earful wasn't appropriate.

 

Agreed its not an issue with the sirius its the dealer. When I got into my truck I immediately took off on a 400km trip. Well to find out sirius was not activated yet. Phoned up sirius to ask what was going on and they said dodge needs to activate it. Well I phoned the dealer and they needed my truck in order to do it. Instead they gave me a temporary activation code, in which I gave to sirus and got it activated. Because I already have previous accounts with sirius they just gave me my own subscription free for a year and charged dodge for it.

Note to self, before pulling out of the dealer make sure sirius is activated!
