Post BBK Throttle Body (85mm or 90mm)

Anyone on the forum have any words on installing the BBK Throttle Body? 85mm or 90mm? Which is best?

I have an '09 Ram 1500 Laramie CC w/ an airaid CAI, Bullydog Triple gt tuner and a new Magnaflow 16869 cat back exhaust.

Would installing the 90mm BBK TB work with my CAI? Would I benefit anything from it?

Please help!

To be perfectly honest, you're really not going to benefit with either, unless you plan on porting your intake manifold. Being a plastic intake manifold that's not likely, unless you're able to find something aftermarket.

The other issue being the stock intake manifold is rated at a max CFM, which can not be increased by a ported throttle body, which is then channeled down 5mm (based off an 85mm) on the stock intake manifold. The ECM will immediately compensate for any increased air flow too, which make it less functional as well.

It will however increase noise, but that's about it, sort of the same benefits a CAI has. This has been trialed many times with LX/LY, with Pre-Eagle, and Eagle 5.7 Hemi's. The bottom line, you'll need support modifications to make that purchase justifiable.

Thanks Power Sedan, you just saved my as* a few hundred dollars!

I suppose I'm going to have to wait on putting real rwhp on w/ either a turbo or supercharger...crying shame this costs so much but I guess it costs what it costs because it works/functional!

Your advice is appreciated
