Default What Do You Guys Think of This 2012 1500?

Hey guys, I'm new to Ram trucks. Been a Chevy Silverado driver for the past 10 years. Due to an accident, I'm in the market for a new truck and have taken a liking to Ram's. I was initially look at getting a used Ram but I noticed the large price drop in the 2012's and am now in the market for one. Wanted to see what you all thought of this truck and the price. With the major discounts already being added is there much wiggle room on it? The price I'm actually being quoted at is $25,624 due to not having a trade-in. Also, I had them remove the bed liner as I plan on getting a spray-on and they also already took another $100 off. All your opinions are appreciated!

Default Msrp

So the MSRP is $33,624? They haven't came off any at all then, all they have done is give you the incentives it looks like. I wouldn't start with the MSRP anyways, the invoice price will be somewhere in the ballpark of $2,000 less than MSRP to start with so I would offer them like $31,100 or something like that and then take the incentives off. they are still making a lot of money because there are factory to dealer incentives that they won't show you and there are holdbacks of like 2-3% and all sorts of other things that they get money for. There is a great site called carbuyingtips dot com that explains a lot if you haven't bought a car in awhile or have never bought one new.

It's still not a bad price for a new truck like that. Good luck to you.

It does have the HEMI option installed, you can even see the HEMI badge just front of the door but if you scroll down on the page it says it's installed.

My mistake, I don't know how I overlooked it. Seems like a nice truck and the $8,500 discount is not bad. If you wait though, later in the year, they discount the trucks closer to $10,000, but the inventory is limited. Also, next year, the 2013s will come out with a 8 speed tranny and electronic steering (extra 5HP I think). I don't think they will be dealing with those for a while though, but they will affect the value of the 2012s. If you really love the truck, go for it- you can't go wrong - great truck.
