Any ideas on another tire? Nitto Terra Graplers too bumpy
I recently bought Nitto Terra Graplers for my 2012 1500.
I have 275 60 R 20s at about 35 psi.
They are way too bumpy riding on pavement.
I'm within the 30 day exchange period, Big O said no problem if I want other tires.
I live in Colorado, so need good snow capability. Do some off road but not a lot. Was thinking of changing out to Nitto Crosstek or Goodyear Silent Armor?
Any ideas would be appreciated!

Check out the Cooper Zeon LTZ. I recently purchased a set from Discount Tire for my 2010 Ram 1500 in 20" and really like them. I only have them on my truck for about a month but really like them. Not as quiet or smooth riding as the OEM tires but not that loud or harsh that it would annoy me.
You doing a lot of off road or more pavement? I just got the Goodear Silent Armour tires....Look pretty beefy with a fairly aggressive tread.
$160.00 rebate starting October 1st when you by 4 tires. Why they can't just take the money off the price of the tire gets me?

Cooper Zeon LTZ's are XL Load rated and are fairly stiff. I find that 40psi they are very bumpy. 35psi they are reasonable. Still a stiffer tire than many other out there.
The main problem here is the fact that Dodge puts CAR TIRES that are Highway riibbed from the factory to give that soft ride. They blow out and get flats very easily! Not to mention the poor traction...
20" rims don't help! I suggest going down to an 18" or 17" if you want a softer ride.
Toyo Open Country AT II's. Ride reviews have been excellent.

I think many folks think that P rated tires are not as good for load carrying as LT tires but that is not always or necessarily true. For instance, my '09 CC SLT came with P26570R17 tires with a load index of 115. A load index of 115 means that the tires can carry 2680lbs at max pressure of 45 PSI. Many LT rated truck tires have basically the same load capacity at 50 PSI but may not ride as well. With a Load Index of 115, 4 tires can carry 10,720 lbs (2680 X 4) and the max GVWR for my truck is 6800 lbs, lot's of room to spare.
I run Coopper P tires and am very happy with them. They ride really nice and have good off road traction for a decent price.
