Default i did not wanna do this but......................

I had a flat on my rear axle today. Went to tire shop to get fixed and damn splined lug nuts were on so damn tight I broke the key trying to remove them. Ended up having to take a hammer and a 17mm socket to them i order to remove them. After that I said F this and traded them tires and wheels for a set of 18x8 Chrysler aspen wheels. Bolt right up but offset is +35. So they tucked way in. And to boot, went from 275/65/20 to 265/60/18 tires. 3" less rubber. But at least I can use oem lug nuts now. I swear I'll never run any wheels that require those splined lugs again. That key socket is just too flimsy. And that's the 2nd one I broke. Anyhoo, pic of temp wheels till i find a set I like.

But at least they got good rubber.

Holy cow, those wheels/tires have to be crazy looking. Any chance for a whole truck shot with them on? It's like a bad accident on the highway, you just can't look away!

I've never heard of a splined lug nut. What are they?

For use in tight clearance lug holes. The stock ones would not fit in the lug holes in the wheels I had.
