Go to the Ford forums and here all the bad news and complaints, and yes, even some people dumping there Fords. Nothing new, been going on forever.

I have 42 k on my '09 Ram and no complaints or problems, it's is just as sweet now as the day i picked it up.

Oops! Forgot. One issue with the blend door motor for the HVAC, gears stripped. Took me a little over an hour to fix.

This is an enthusiast forum. You are always going to hear about the bad. As people are looking for advise when they post about it.

You are very rarely if ever going to see post about, "another 10k miles, no issues".

I don't consider someone else's issue bad news or complaints. I only gauge my experience. I am very happy with the first 60k kms on my RAM. Loved it when I bought, loved it when I drove it this morning.

I agree with Gutty re complaints. Most people regardless of what they buy will have little to complain about if they take care of their vehicles and use them appropriately. The thing about this forum is we want to vent about the few things we do have problems with like lousy headlights or the terrible support we get from dealers etc. this doesn't necessarily mean we are dissatisfied with our trucks just looking for ideas, support or encouragement. Something else we do is get a truck and modify it with lift kits, oversize wheels/tires, loud exhaust etc and then we try to figure out how to improve fuel mileage, power or handling because they got worse with the mods. Not saying not to mod just be aware that the mods might cause issues that need to be dealt with. I have had an 04, an 05 , and now a 2012 that have been bullet proof. My biggest complaint is the front wheel bearings on the 05 were pricey, my 04 I ran 110,000 miles with the only maintenance being brakes twice on the front, once on the rear and oil changes. I never even replaced a bulb in the 4 years I had it. My hope is that the 2012 treats me as good as the first 2 did. For me it's Dodge or nothing just because they fit me and treat me well.

I'm around the same 79K and just under 4 years. Aside from an issue with an ABS wheel sensor that took a while to diagnose, I've had no real problems with it.

Luckily the dealers in my area are very good, so I've got nothing to complain about there either.
