Shocks and level for wife.
New to the 4th gen, wife just purchased a 2010 ST QCSB. She would like to level it and it needs new shocks as it has about 40,000 on it now.
My question is what would be the best way to level it and still get her the soft ride she is wanting?
Any info would be great, I did a search but the shock/strut thing has me confused. Im sure its been covered I will continue to look for now.
Thanks

I can only add this comment, i`m sure others will chime in to add input and opinions as well.
My main concern is, why are you replacing the shocks already at only 40,000 miles... do you see oil leaking from them...? Does the truck feel loose on the road...??? Have you checked the tire pressure, maybe its to low....? Or the tires are junk...???
I`ve got 60,000 miles on my 2010 QC 4x4 hemi sport truck and it rides AND handles the same as the day i brought home brand new. I do check my shocks for leaks often, and i have no leaks in my OEM shocks on my 4th gen truck. So i was just wondering why you would think you should replace the shocks already. (????)
One way you could lower it... cut the coil springs. But make sure you get the truck alignment re-done.
Ther are custom springs out there today to, that allow you to set the truck lower as well. Have you done a google search yet..?

If you aren't determined to raise the front to allow for larger tires McGaughy's has these. I have been looking at them to make mine lower overall and easier for the wife to get in and out.

I have a 2009 and my truck has about 40,000 miles and the front shocks were both leaking. I found this out when I was replacing them with bilsteins 5100's. I installed both front and rear. I set the fronts at 2.1 height. My truck sits level at that setting.
I just replaced the fronts for a leaking on passenger side at 86k miles. I noticed oil down the coil spring when doing the 5k oil change. Truck always rode great so i just put another set of oems on it.
