If not swapping gears, maybe consider swapping cams.
I know the VVT with Eagle Heads have a limited market, but many generation 3 Rams within a local Mopar club I'm affiliated with have gone with stage 2 cams (6.1 internals) and have put down impressive gains. Granted support mods (majority bolt-ons) will greatly help achieve better gains, but theoretically it's a great mod for improved mid-range power and up.
Shouldn't have to much trouble finding a decent performance shop where you reside, there are many LX/LY members who have preformed these alterations and them some from your neck of the woods.
