35"tires on stock 20" Rims

I'm wondering the same thing about my 17" factory rims. I don't mind the look of them and I really would like to put 35" tires on. It looks like the 265/70/17s I have on their now almost touch the knuckle. so are 12" wide tires going to rub the knuckle?
