Anyone have any recommendations on rear-facing car seats that fit in the quad cab?

We were able to put the infant seat in the center, and it hung over the center console a bit but fit OK. We bought a rear-facing seat and tried to put it in the same location but it was too wide to fit between the seats and wouldn't fit behind the seats.

Its against the law to put them in a front facing seat here until they are 1, and most experts recommend until they are 2. Maybe I'll do it anyway if thats the only choice available?

Won't they fit behind the passenger seat with the seat moved up a bit? Or is your wife too tall to fit like that?

 

She's actually incredibly short (5'1")

Maybe it was just the one we happened to buy that we have in her car, but even with the seat ALL the way up, it wouldn't fit because the car seat headrest hit the very top of the seat where it is curved back. The only way I could get it to fit is if I put the front seat up AND bent the seat so far forward not even a kid could sit in it. It could have just been the one we happened to buy, so if anyone else has had one that works please let me know! Its so hard in the store to tell how far they sit back.

For those who were asking...

Here is a lowprofile seat- known for having a short depth. Front seat pushed all the way back. Not sure who you could fit here? haha.

No sun visor, but I have the factory tinted windows- they are pretty dark!
