Found a Superchips 3865 on ebay. Its used and I submitted a lowball offer on it. Seller countered with $200. Is this a good buy?

Make sure that it doesn't have a VIN locked on it though.

 

Seems that one has been sold - I waited too long. But there is another used one for $225 that I'm bidding on.

I also found a DiabloSport inTune for $215 on craigslist in my area. Would this be better?

 

As gutty said, make sure they're not VIN locked to a truck already. Superchips will unlock it if you buy a used one, but I'm not sure how much it costs, $20 maybe?

 

Both have "assured" me that they are unlocked and returned to stock. Really only one way to know. On that note, if I buy the inTune from the craigslist guy, will it take a lot of time to connect it to my vehicle and see if it works? Fuctionality and Lock/Unlock wise?

 

Personally, I like Superchips better. Purely for the advanced transmission settings. Those alone are worth more than the tunes!

 

Go with the SUPERCHIP`s... its the better one
