Default Engine braking while coasting?

Just traded my 08 in on a 10. Sorry no picture yet. I love the truck but something feels weird. When I "Coast" it feels like "Engine Braking" is taking in place. The tranny is in D and the RPM's don't change it just feels as if a load has been applied.

Have I lost my mind?

If you feel the truck downshifting down at around 45mph, its likely normal. That was dodge`s answer to "engine braking". If you feel its not right, take it back to the dealer. Maybe jump in a couple other models like yours and see if they do the same thing. Might be more to it than you`re describing or what you might be aware of going on. In any case, i would look into it if it were my truck.
