Nice choice with the Sport! I just traded for a 13' White Sport CC a month ago, absolutely love the Chally hood and new headlight features, with the improved interior over my '09 Sport.

These LED amber directionals are absolutely ridiculously bright. Everytime I'm at a intersection wirh the directional active making a turn, everything across from me on the opposing side of the intersection is glowing amber, lol! Just an observation I noticed distinctively.

Are those upgraded towing mirrors? I thought the normal ones on the Sport/Express/RT were body colored?

 

Yeah I'm pretty sure these are towing mirrors. It's going to take some time to get used the outermost third of the mirror being a separate convex "blind spot" mirror.

 

Here's a maybe dumb question. The sport hood is just cosmetic, but are there any CAI mods that make the faux air intakes functional.

 

Cool. Yea, if they have the blind spot area, then they're the upgraded tow mirrors.

I haven't seen any aftermarket solutions for making the hood intakes functional. However, I did see a guy on another forum who rigged something up to make them functional. It had some homemade ducting that fed air back down to the air box. Honestly it looked a little cheesy. A couple of others have opened up the mesh holes on the intakes, but all that does is suck air into the engine compartment and not really into the air intake system. Also, I'm not sure how great that would be for the truck's aero. RAM spent a ton of time and gadgets on making the 2013s push air around the truck, especially at highway speeds. Just opening those intakes up could do a lot to hurt that.

 

To many after the sale engineers that think they know more than the factory designers.
