New member and looking to gather some real world results on the 1500 4WD. My commute in NJ takes me 40 miles one way from norther part of the state into a higher elevation in the center of the state, 90% of my daily drive is highway. I did own an '02 1500 with the 5.9 back in my single days and loved it but then marriage and 3 daughters took over my priorities. I am looking for a 2012 or '13 6 cylinder 1500 Crew Cab, but I am wondering if there truly is a drastic difference in mileage between the 6 and the Hemi. I cannot find a used 6 cylinder anywhere and a new one is out of my price range. I am also considering an AWD charger but would much rather the 1500. Thanks.

i work for a rental company and we had a 13 6 cyl and we brought it from the city (40 mi or so) for 8.00 (our gas was 5.45/ga) and we just brought a 14 hemi and the evic was reading 21 (US). both of these were brand new and not broken in. the 13 and up have a smoother grille and other gas saving stuff.
