Never be afraid to hurt the dealerships feelings. They sure don't care if they hurt yours. Treat them like the used car salesmen that they are. Set your price and stick to it, and see what they say. You'd be surprised that sometimes your price will buy something on the first attempt. Of course when that happens I feel bad because I probably could have got it for a little less
Just remember one thing, they NEED to sell vehicles, it dosent meen you NEED to buy one. YOU as a buyer, have a choice, THEY, do NOT... they pay intrest everyday those vehicles sitting on the lot... they HAVE to sell them... that alone, gives YOU more options than them. Its up to the buyer, NOT the stealership.
Thanks. Just having a tough time pinning down a truck with what i want at a price i want..havent done is this dealership thing in over 12 years....and now i remember i dont miss it...
Good luck finding a truck just the way you like it. Remember someone at the stealership is building and ordering the trucks, some order a good variety and others really suck. I remember stopping at a dealer that had a large inventory of trucks but they were all dark colors (black, brown and blue), at another dealer the majority of trucks were 4x4’s. The other problem is the way Dodge packages the options, if you want a particular feature you have to opt for an entire package which = more $. So my point is if you are very particular about what you like, then order a truck the way you want it. Otherwise trust me; you will have buyer’s remorse every time you make that payment. Good hunting!!
I've driven only Ford vehicles until now. It a little funnyI think how I ended up with a new RAM Longhorn. I had gone to my local Forddealer that I had bought all of my previous Ford's from. I sat in a salesman'soffice for almost 2 hours waiting for the sales manager to make up his mind onwhat he was going to give me on trade for my 2010 F150 Screw. After some timeof aggravation because it was taking way to long, I got up and drove to thenearest Chrysler dealership and bought a new 2013 Laramie Longhorn.
That's when the apprehension set in.

Bought my 08 1500 slt back in dec 2008, was during the fire sale. Stickered @ 31, paid 17k out the door. Planned on running it forever thanks to the lifetime warranty... was just shy of 400k and... Well some dude smashed it.
Bought 2014 bighorn few weeks ago, with the color and minimum options (crew cab plus 6'3"bed in silver) I wanted there were only 4 in the country. Since its for business i had to buy before year end... Really have my doubts on this one, didnt fight as hard as I wanted due to the limited choices still got out of dealership for 35k inc taxes and lifetime maxcare plus running boards on a truck stickered at $42k.
Guess Ill never be able to live up to the deal from '09, my down payment on the 2014 was what I paid for the entire first ram so maybe thats why the remorse.
Oh well... its nice and shiny!
