Default So thinking of a 4th gen Ram!

Since my Dakota was in a bad accident, and everyone says it seems totaled, and it's bad on the cab, doors, pillar, bed, rear axle, sounded like the trans was messed up since the driveshaft fell out going 30MPH, the whole exhaust fell off.

Looking at Hemi, my dad had a brand new 2004 quad cab 2wd hemi back in the day, and it was pretty sweet. I know the new newer Hemi is high in power. Around 325ish Hp is what I'm seeing for stock. I'm looking at like 09-11 Ram quad cab/crew cab (I don't like calling it crew because that's what Ford calls their stuff) 4x4short bed 5.7.

What are some performance mods you guys have done. I know intake and exhaust, I've been through that. This will be my 6th vehicle, and I'm 21. Only one I got into an accident was my Dakota. I know cam swap is hard/expensive, but how are headers, maybe heads? Also, I know all about superchips tuner, I had one for my Dakota and it really woke it up.

Questions:
-Best engine mods for more power, MPG doesn't matter
-Has anyone done a e-fan mod
-Best tuner
-Best headers
-What do you recommend for performance upgrades

Thank you, I hope I can get some answers

My 2014 has been a blast to drive so far. The 4th gen rams started out at like 388~HP and are currently rated at 395HP. Don't forget, this is at the flywheel. If you can find a Ram with the 3.92s I would certainly recommend it too.

Isn't that with the manual specs?

Manual? Manual transmission? The gassers don't have that option as far as I know, at least in the 1500 lineup.

Then why is it that, when I saw a Dyno of a stock 2013 it only got up to 330?

They make those numbers at the flywheel. 330hp might be what it makes at the rear wheels.

It's known as tranny loss, anything with rear wheel drive will suffer a higher percentage of power to the rear wheels.

My 14' with the 8 speed can outrun my dads 12' with the 6 speed. Both trucks have 3.92 gears, mine is actually heavier being a crew cab vs the quad cab my father has. They both really move though, his 12' when he got it would show my 04' qc hemi the tailgate pretty easily.
