tires for the country
Hey guys i'm looking for some opinions on tires. I really like the Mickey Thompson mtz, i have a 2010 ram 1500 with a 2.5" leveling kit and was wondering if any of you are running these tires?
If so do you having any rubbing issues?
also are you happy with the tires? I don't do a lot of offroading but i'm on a lot of dirt roads and the odd field.

Extremely aggressive for the dirt-road but if you like them go for it. Being designed for off-road, don't expect them to last long on daily pavement. They are made of a softer compound to increase traction off-road.
I ran them on my old truck and loved em' but I had to stop buying different sets of tires (wife's fault). They did get chewed up on the pavement. So, I switched to BFGoodrich's all terrains and they handle everything.
I'll just throw my .02 cents in here. I went with Falken Wildpeak A/T's on my Dakota before I traded it and I LOVED those tires. Great price and just as smooth as I could ask for.
They did great in the mud and in the snow and were smooth on the highway..Just something to think about

I used the Nitto Terra Grapplers on my Dakota and found them to be very hard, heavy, and prone to spin on wet pavement, even with several hundred pounds extra weight over the rear axle. The tread and siping look like they would work better on mud and terrain rather than pavement - I prefer the versatility and performance of the Yokohoma or Goodyear ATs.
