Looks really good. Love the color of the truck [same color I just got ]. Did you opt for the new 8speed transmission?

I was the same way with the dial shift, but i wanted a big horn and they only came with the dial shift so i ended up getting it. But, after having the truck for a month it really isn't that bad. Also my mpg is really good with it (19.2mpg) compared to my old 07 Hemi (14mpg). i am really impressed with what dodge is doing now with their trucks.

Yea, they've made a ton of progress in the past decade with everything from tech to quality. Sorry for all the pics I've been pestering yall with, but I'm using this thread as my build thread. Today was the first day with really nice weather, so I gave the new girl a wash and wax, as well as, fixed some screw-ups in the plasti-dip.

I just got out of a 2012 4x4 crew cab diesel because of the horrific fuel mileage but already found myself looking to go back to a half ton. Fuel mileage is my only concern with the 5.7 Hemi. What are you guys getting in the 13-14 year models so far?

Horrific mileage? Hell, I'm averaging 20.7 MPG all around use with my 2500 Cummins. I doubt you're gonna see any V8 gasser full size truck do significantly better...

I just bought a 2014 Ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 with 3.21 gears and I am getting right around 18.5MPG. That is using 87 or 89 fuel, hasn't made a difference for me. Oh, and its got a hemi!

yeah my 2012 2500 was horrible, about 14.5 stock and I drive about 150 round trip every third day at that. After I put 35's on , I was around 12. I've just heard a lot a variation in the half tons out now. 18.5 would suit me just fine.

Check out my thread, "Hemi 8 Speed 4x4 MPG". It tells you how and where I drive. This might help you to figure out if you will be getting better or worse than 18.5 MPG. Also all these MPG numbers I have given you are all on a truck without a tonneau cover. I will be installing one this weekend, so I will let you know if that makes the gas mileage better (which I hope it does).

Also, MPG was a big reason why I bought the 8 speed. My old 2007 Hemi 4x4 averaged around 13.5 MPG. But, if you want to see some seriously good MPG I would definitely consider the 3.0l ecodiesel (19city 27highway), even though you will loose out on a lot of horsepower, but still keep the torque about the same.
